TrainingLab Pro (Kurzanleitung des neuen GPS Daten basierten 3D Höhenprofils)

Vers. 8.0 steht kurz vor der Veröffentlichung (öffentliche Beta verfügbar) und eine der Hauptneuerungen ist sicherlich die neue GPS basierte 3D Höhenprofilansicht.

Auch wenn dieses neue 3D Chart mehr oder weniger selbsterklärend sein dürfte, will ich hier ein paar Bedienungshinweise aufführen.

Heute möchte ich anhand einiger Bilder und Videos die Entwicklungstufen eines kleinen Softwareprojekts (GPS Daten basiertes 3D Höhenprofil) illustrieren.

Some useful scripts for CopyQ (Clipboard Manager)

 

Anyone who needs to work productively on a PC will probably appreciate an external clipboard manager.

There are some very good clipboard managers out there, I eventually got stuck with Ditto and CopyQ, which are more or less in the same league. Both are awesome tools.

For now I'm using CopyQ again, although it's constantly changing. CopyQ can be adapted a little more to your own needs, but Ditto is a little easier to use. But if you want to get the most out of these clipboard managers, you have to delve deeper into both.

What can you do with WRPElevationChart (a lightweight GPS viewer app for Android)

WRPElevationChart was originally an app designed to visualize GPS and elevation data. However, over time, some special features have been added that can help other apps to import specific file formats that these apps cannot handle themselves.

In addition, WRPElevationChart supports other apps to visualize the data (elevation profile combined with a map view) in a more user friendly and accessible way, because the map view is linked with the elevation chart and vice versa. Due to the fact that the elevation chart and map views are kept as simple as possible, the map view can be easily combined with the elevation chart, even on small smartphone screens and with a generally good performance, even on mid-range smartphones. 

Meanwhile the app has now become a small GPS toolbox, therefore I want to briefly present these special uses cases here. 

I will refer to YouTube videos and animated gifs because it's really just a matter of briefly outlining these functionalities (a kind of showcase).

Selbstreparierende Betriebssysteme (die IgnoreFreeLibrary-Trap, oder wenn Computer die Kontrolle übernehmen :-( )

Aus gegebenem Anlass will ich heute aus dem - manchmal nicht ganz so gewöhnlichen - Alltag eines Softwareentwicklers berichten. Hinweis: Dies ist kein richtiges Produkt-Review, sondern lediglich eine Kurzvorstellung eines Gadgets*, das - soweit mir bekannt - Anfang 2019, als relativ neuer Produkttyp im Smartphone Zubehör Segment, auf den Markt gekommen ist - und sicherlich für die ein oder andere Diskussion bzgl. seiner Sinnhaftigkeit gesorgt haben dürfte. Mit meiner Kurzvorstellung bin ich nun auch wieder einmal sehr spät dran.

Tipps und Tricks: Routen Handling mit der Garmin Connect App und gimporter / gexporter (Android)

Die Garmin Connect App spielt im Garmin Sport- und Outdoor Universum eine sehr große Rolle. Zwar kann man viele Garmin Sport-Computer (Bike-Computer und Lauf-/Outdooruhren) auch ohne die Connect App verwenden, sofern man aber alle Möglichkeiten nutzen will, führt an der Kopplung Sportcomputer <-> Connect App eigentlich kein Weg vorbei.

Hier möchte ich einige dieser erweiterten Möglichkeiten kurz zusammenfassen, da die hier aufgeführten Funktionen, manchen Usern (noch) nicht geläufig sind. 

Den ein oder anderen Tipp kann man auch diversen Blogs und Infoseiten entnehmen. Am Ende dieses Beitrags werde ich einige Blogs aufführen, auf denen die hier aufgeführten Themen zum Teil noch ausführlicher behandelt werden. Dieser Beitrag will das hier Beschriebene nur kurz umreißen.
